Easy Chocolate Dessert Recipes


INGREDIENTS:
  • 1 pkg. (2-layer size) devil's food cake mix
  • 1 pkg. (4-serving size) Jell-O Chocolate Instant Pudding
  • 4 oz. Baker's Semi-Sweet Chocolate, divided
  • 1/3 cup butter, softened
  • 3 cups icing sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

INSTRUCTIONS:
  1. Heat oven to 350ºF.
  2. Line 3 (9-inch) round pans with parchment paper; spray with cooking spray. Prepare cake mix according to package directions, adding dry pudding mix. Pour into prepared pans; bake 22 to 25 min. or until toothpick inserted in centres comes out clean. Cool cakes in pans, 10 min.; remove to wire racks. Cool completely.
  3. Microwave 3 oz. chocolate in microwaveable bowl on MEDIUM 1-1/2 min.; stir after 1 min. until completely melted. Beat butter and chocolate in medium bowl with mixer until well blended. Add icing sugar, milk and vanilla; beat until smooth.
  4. Stack cake layers on plate; spreading 1/2 cup frosting between each layer. Spread remaining frosting onto top of cake. Make chocolate curls with remaining chocolate; sprinkle over cake.
