No-Bake Candy Slice Recipe

  • 1 x 170 gram Packet Pascall Eskimos Lollies
  • 1 x 250 grams Malt Biscuits - I used Griffins
  • 125 grams Butter
  • 1 Cup Sweetened Condensed Milk – 300g (nearly a whole tin – but not quite, use the rest for salad dressing!*)
  • 180g milk chocolate – I used Whittakers Creamy Milk
No-Bake Candy Slice Recipe

  1. Line a slice tin (or 23-25cm square cake tin) with baking paper or spray lightly with cooking spray and set aside.
  2. Crush the biscuits in a food processor until fine crumbs mixed with a few larger
  3. Cut the Eskimo lollies into quarters and set aside.
  4. Melt the butter and condensed milk in a large saucepan on low heat until melted and mixed together well, alternatively do this step in the microwave in 30 second bursts.
  5. Pour the biscuits and Eskimo lollies into the condensed milk mixture and combine well with a wooden or large spoon
  6. Spoon the biscuit mixture into the slice tray and press down very firmly using the back of a large spoon until tightly packed and smooth.
  7. Melt your chocolate in the microwave with 10-20 second bursts, stirring in between until completely melted or you can use a double boiler. Can add 1 tsp of oil to the chocolate if you are concerned topping will crack on slicing.
  8. Pour the chocolate onto the slice and using the back of a spoon spread chocolate evenly over the slice.
  9. Place in the fridge for at least 5 hours (preferably overnight).
  10. Take the slice out of the fridge and leave for 20 minutes before slicing (this way your chocolate will be less likely to crack).
  11. Cut the slice into squares.
  12. This slice will keep in an airtight container in the fridge for 5 days (but lets face it – it won’t last that long anyway!)
  13. Avoid stacking the slices on top of each other in the container as they will stick - use baking paper between layers if needed.
